Design

Lead based hunting bullets do not retain their weight and shape after impact, while monolithic bullets are known to retain their weight and shape very well.

Most Lead-core bullets are designed break apart and disperse into surrounding tissue once they hit the target, causing lots of unwanted meat damage. Peregrine hunting bullets feature equal or better lethality than good lead-core hunting bullets but with much less damage to surrounding tissue. The unwanted fragmentation of lead-core bullets is also toxic to scavenging birds and animals as well as the environment.
